I don’t normally write reviews. Especially not negative ones; but I think this one is necessary. Anyone who winds up in the ER obviously has enough on their plate that they don’t need the doctor tending to them to be rude and dismissive. I had the misfortune of getting extreme anaphylaxis twice in 24 hours from rx antibiotics. It was terrifying and it sucked; especially coupled with the reason I needed antibiotics in the first place. Dr. Daniel A. Waxman discharged me from UCLA medical center on 1/14/2025 after I had been called by UCLA cardiology to immediately get to UCLA Medical Center to see Cardiac Electrophysiology(Cardiac EP). These are the only doctors who can evaluate and fix a pacemaker. I was immediately attended to at UCLA by another doctor upon my abnormal EKG results and the fact that Cardiac EP was expecting me. Agree with the person who left a review saying that he leaves the room, no explanation, mid conversation if you’re discussing something. He is weird, creepy and super unprofessional. Should not be working with people.
Dr. Waxman had excellent bedside manner last night during my mom's emergency room admission. He answered all our questions and was very kind and thorough. I would highly recommend Dr. Waxman to patients with his care.
If I could give him 0 stars I would. Extremely impatient, lacks empathy and should not be working with people.
