I saw Dr. Sheng after months of waiting due to a prior elbow fracture, confirmed by recent X-rays and MRI as posttraumatic arthritis. At my visit, I told her my elbow was extremely sensitive and painful, even when adjusting at certain angles. She prodded the site I identified as most painful, then instructed me to hold my elbow at a right angle and “resist” while she forcefully pulled on my injured arm what seemed like as hard as she could.
