A nonchalant manner to what turned out to be life - threatening post-op aand immediate hospitalization. ....... after visiting him the day before !

I have been a patient of Dr Tarandy for about 15 yr. In the that time he has scoped a knee, replaced both hips, and done 3 trigger finger surgeries. He is caring, very knowledgeable and willing to adapt to your needs. I had both hips replaced the same year and only had 2 days of rehab. coverage left after the first surgery. I asked him if I could go to the handicap room at a the local Holiday Inn instead of rehab. A therapist came to the motel and it worked out very well. Always recommend!

Dr. Tarandy is a miracle worker. I had a finger eaten off by a large animal. He was able to fix what was left and it looks remarkable. He was even able to find the nailbed so I have a tiny fingernail. Being an RN myself he was honest, honored my requests of having a local instead of going to sleep for my emergency surgery, professional but had the best sense of humor. In my case that was the best medicine. I would highly recommend him and his staff. He was wonderful!

Please be careful and do your homework when thinking of seeing this "doctor." I can only speak from experience and since my surgery that he performed on me, I developed blood clots that he did not diagnose and now have very little cartilage in my knee (which wasn't an issue before the surgery). I went into him and called everyday for 6 days after my surgery to inform him that something was wrong with my calf on the leg that the knee surgery was performed. I was right and alive bc I trusted me.

I have known Dr. T since I was a freshman in HS (12 years ago) I have had 4 knee operations and I will most likely have a 5th soon. Dr. T has watched me grow up. He became a friend of the family and even attended my moms memorial service when she passed away. Dr. T is the only surgeon I will allow to operate on me (if I have a choice) I moved 90 minutes away from his office 2 years ago and I still make the drive out to his office because he is well worth the trip. Very good doc and human being.
