Specialties OYSTERS! Our family has been serving oysters in this location for over 107 years. We serve oysters on the half shell, fried oysters, broiled oysters, oyster stew, oyster Rockefeller and a Cajun oyster sandwich. Our oysters, fish,draft beer and wine are all local. We love the Pacific Northwest and make every effort to support it . stoped here after a day at the zoo, the oysters on the half shell had lots of shell and were very unpleasant, the home made clam chowder was over thick, on the smoked fish plate the best thing was the smoked salmon

When I visit a new area, or even if I’ve been to a certain place before, I like to learn about the history of the locale. That being said, Dan & Louis’ Oyster Bar has been in existence more than 100 years, it may even be the oldest restaurant in Portland. I love checking out the old log books & photos, small glimpses of the Wachsmuth family history. ALWAYS a good idea to make a stop at Dan & Louis’ Oyster Bar.
