After calling my eye insurance and explaining to them how this appointment went, not discussing my costs up front, etc., they said that should never have happened. Also they were going to make me purchase contacts through them or otherwise make me pay a "contact assessment fee".. Again, NONE of this discussed up front
This place will NOT tell you up front what your insurance covers and does not, nor will they tell you what is an additional cost. They're the ONLY place I've been in 12 years that says my eye appointment wasn't fully covered by my exam coverage and there was a "contact lens ASSESSMENT FEE". They also have some of the highest markup on contact lenses and frames alike I've seen for a while. Love Dr. Lisa, and the whole staff. So knowledgeable and thorough. Close to home, and great hours.
Lovely local ophthalmologist, with an awesome team! Dr. Dalmo is welcoming and gets you in and out, while addressing any concerns. Michelle was super helpful getting me set up with frames and walking me through the insurance/payment breakdown! From the initial call to walking out the door, I never had an unsatisfactory moment. I highly recommend Dalmo Optical!
