I been coming here sense u was a kid and need glasses and they remember me I really like my eye doctor Dr Lisa she remember things I don’t even recall mentioning the staff is nice they help me pick out glasses that looks nice on me I normally get 2 pair of glasses but now sense they don’t service HIGHMARK I had to switch to UPMC for U I only get one pair now and they are pretty nice no complaints.. Dr Lisa and office staff are wonderful. Very through eye exam and very good advice from the Dr. Office staff is very personable. Not sure why people are saying charges aren’t up front. Every time my husband and I have gone there, we were always told up front what our insurance covered and what is owed out of pocket based on any upgrades we chose. I highly recommend this practice. Dr. Lisa is a caring and knowledgeable provider.
After calling my eye insurance and explaining to them how this appointment went, not discussing my costs up front, etc., they said that should never have happened. Also they were going to make me purchase contacts through them or otherwise make me pay a "contact assessment fee".. Again, NONE of this discussed up front
This place will NOT tell you up front what your insurance covers and does not, nor will they tell you what is an additional cost. They're the ONLY place I've been in 12 years that says my eye appointment wasn't fully covered by my exam coverage and there was a "contact lens ASSESSMENT FEE". They also have some of the highest markup on contact lenses and frames alike I've seen for a while.
