A recent family member was cared for by Dr Tonks in the hospital. He was very thorough, took extra time explaining medical conditions and different medication uses. We were very happy we got to be under his care.
I was recently treated by Dr Tonks at the hospital for pneumonia. He was courteous, kind and thorough. Not only did he discuss the reason for me being in the hospital, but addressed some of my chronic medical conditions for which I was grateful. He took the time to readjust some of my medications that I have been taking for some time without realizing they had been affecting my blood pressure and kidneys. I was admitted with cellulitis in my leg. I have had this previously and nearly lost my leg. The ER physician and staff were very concerned. But when I got to my room. Dr Tonks did not see any need why I was admitted. He stated he would have never admitted me. Then the only issue he wanted to discuss was my kidney function. He prescribed additional IV antibiotics and we would see how I was the next day. Again when he returned my leg was slightly better than it had been but not where I thought he would have released me.
