We used Dallas palliative and hospice service for a short time, but we were so thankful they were by our side during this hard time. I would have been lost without them. I talked to Shannon many times and she was ALWAYS available to help! Not only did she help, but she was very compassionate and sincere. She was exactly who I needed to guide me. I loved the orientation experience for the volunteers. It was so informative and enjoyable with Chaplain Steve and Tonya. I can’t wait to volunteer and help others!
Hi , there. I'm wanting to share a little bit about my experience with Dallas Hospice and Palliative Care. The hospital was coming at me in all directions with different hospice companies to go with.. We were overwhelmed with my 92- year old mom's care, with dementia and congestive heart failure. She and my dad (her husband of 74 years) were living with us. Their physician referred us to Dallas Hospice. Everyone involved was caring and professional. They completely took control and gave us some much needed rest. They handled everything through her passing with compassion. She was able to stay in our home until the end. I can never thank them enough.
This has been weeks of spiritual tutelage in chaplaincy . The orientation program was a great experience in understanding what hospice is in practical terms as we had various practitioners in the cycle of care came to share their experiences and provide useful tips that I’m bound to use in being a volunteer in hospice care. Great experience in a very friendly and familial atmosphere.
