It's huge it's really nice and really clean, just celebrated one of my best friend's wedding there and it was fantastic. There's a massive playground lots of walking trails a little pond that's fishable I don't know if it's something I'd recommend but it's there and there's a fishing pier LOL but the place is gorgeous and we'll always recommend hidden gems like this a county park inside of a Metro suburb area that's actually really pretty big and very natural in the midst of the city. Very beautiful
I reserved the Dakota Lodge for a memorial event for my mom. The reservation process was very simple (but you do need to access to a printer). They had a beautiful sound system which worked phenomenally for our event. My fiancé is an audio engineer and he was even impressed with the equipment they had available. I can't begin to explain the significance of Thompson County Park, and the Dakota Lodge within, on the surrounding area and community. The restoration of the park, plant & animal ecosystems, and trails show the commitment to nature by Dakota County. We've lived in the area for over five years and it's been a staple of our time in West St. Paul.
