It was pretty. Several years ago I was walking along the main street in the town where we were vacationing. I was crossing the street and spied a gold chain on the ground. I did and was very happy. My father had left me a pocket watch and chain with a fob on the end of the chain that was in the form of an eagle. It said Elgin on the face when opened and 14K on the edge of the case on the inside. I wanted to sell it and someone suggested that I bring it to Buy and Sell Jewelry New York on 47th street. Making really good. I was making really good money in the 1980s, as were a lot of people, and I spent a lot too. Now, in 2011, with the economy in slow motion I wish I had some of that cash back.
