Stunning property, just 45 minutes out of central Austin but within 10 minutes to the Hill Country Galleria, this place is a gem! I loved it and we hosted a business event out there, but I wouldn't hesitate to host my next personal event on the property too! loved it! Once you enter the property, it's a whole new world. We rented two bungalows. They were fully equipped and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable and when my college son and his friends wanted chicken fried steak and French fries, we were able to make it in the small kitchen! Star gazing at night is a must. Bring a telescope if you have one. Lots of places to hike and a pool to jump in when it's hot outside. Hamilton pool is 7 minutes away. Another must, plus you need a reservation to get in. Loved every minute at D6 Retreat! Didn't want to leave!
We had an amazing time this weekend at the D6 Retreat. Some of us didn't want to leave. We felt like we were camping but with air conditioners. Tara did an amazing job keeping us inform about everything. We hope to make this a yearly trip!
I will start out by saying, I simply did not want to leave and cannot wait to return! The accommodations are more than comfortable. It is apparent the owners thought of every detail to ensure an amazing experience. From the plush towels, fully equipped kitchen, bird seed to fill the feeders, fun outdoor games, floats for the pool, charcoal for the grills, sun screen and so much more. We had an amazing time! Perfect setting , amazing views and the cabins are wonderful! Fully stocked with everything you might possibly need!
We stayed for a night and LOVED it! Kids spent hours cooling off and playing in the pool playing with new friends. We watched the gorgeous sunset from the pool after a cookout and then ate s'mores. Everyone slept soundly in the cute air conditioned villas. It comfortably slept 6 of us. The next morning we took the short hike down to the creek and played for hours finding fossils, catching crawfish, and wading in the water. It is only 15 minutes from my house and I'll definitely be back for a mini-getaway.
