I had an amazing experience at D African Braiding! It was my first time getting braids, and Ms. Doris made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and sooo talented. She took the time to walk me through every step, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The final result was absolutely beautiful—I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much, Ms. Doris. I’ll definitely be back!

EDIT: original review below was posted a week ago. Update: one of my braids CAME OUT two weeks later (moments ago from writing this, found a section of hair loose on my head and found the braid in my bonnet). I've never had this happen anywhere else. Also, if you post a bad review the owner will try and chase you down to change it. First and last time coming here. I emailed Doris asking if she could wash, condition, and blow out my hair before braiding and she said she was able to. She gave me her number and from then on we ... read more

First and last time coming here. I emailed Doris asking if she could wash, condition, and blow out my hair before braiding and she said she was able to. She gave me her number and from then on we were texting. I told her twice I'd like red shoulder length braids, and even sent her a reference photo of the style I was aiming for. Upon arrival, Doris was in the middle of working on someone else's hair. She had me sit in a chair and someone else named Michelle came and started working on my hair. So, I went here in February of 2025, I got a cornrow braided ponytail, Doris and her sister are absolutely amazing and I loved their shop it's clean. I also love their work with hair!!!
