Daphne's empathetic response. After my cleaning, by Daphne, Dr. Landon came in and asked me "How are things going?" Since my father was at that moment dying in a hospital, it would have been a profanation of sorts to just respond with the conventional "Fine." Instead I gave Dr. Landon and Daphne some of the details. After Dr. Landon expressed his sympathy and left, I told Daphne a few more details.
