Would not recommend. Miss-diagnosed from the start of care. Did push her book and nutritional services as well as find new and creative ways to bill insurance for a variety of tests and in-office scans etc. All the while never sending me to lab/hospital for a professionally done Echocardiogram and therefore missed an aneurysm on my heart that could have burst and killed me at any moment. First off, I am glad to hear that you are okay. I would appreciate you contacting our office so we can review your scan to determine if an aneurysm was indeed missed or if this developed subsequently. We have professional echocardiographic equipments so there shouldn't have been a need to send you to the hospital. However, we definitely would want to acknowledge if an issue was missed to hold ourselves accountable. We will continue to practice in the diligent manner that we expect of our care.
Referred to Dr. Thaik due to heart problems. Did a number of diagnostic tests and prescribed medications. Did not realize that her "holistic" practice meant they would try to sell you one of their diet protocols and multiple supplements.Met with their "health consultant" which was basically a sales person who pitched a detox program to me. The program was very expensive and I asked if I could think about it and review the info. Had appt with doc the next day. Would not recommend. Had chest pains and dizziness while I was there so was feeling very vulnerable. She ignored, did not listen to anything I tried to ask. Talked over the tech who was doing a test,left abruptly and that was it. Left feeling sick and in shock. Did not make follow up apt.
Not in anyway how she portrays herself. Nothing holistic. My appointment consisted of a rant from her about insurance. A lecture on not expecting to be seen at short notice for any reason”Just go to ER”. Was having a bad reaction to a drug she prescribed. Told it is supposed to make you feel worse. It could actually have killed me if I had continued to take. Yelled at for me to decide what medication she should prescribe. Did not allow me to ask any questions. Worst Dr. experience ever.
Dr. Thaik's office is busy and she doesn't always take the time to spend with a patient. I went there and needed medications refilled and they were so busy they didn't get them into the system. I went back a week later to tell the doctor this and she got very belligerent, wrote up the refills instead of just sending them into the pharmacy and said, "just take care of it yourself". She's also more interested in selling the products she has in the office. Needless to say, I am not going back!!

I knew I was in good hands when I met Dr. Thaik - she took the time to listen and started the process immediately to tackle the underlying problem. She is what I have been looking for and I am confident and glad I found her.
Dr. Thaik is an amazing, highly-credentialed, brilliant cardiologist who I am so blessed to have found. My husband has a heart condition and after 15 years of seeing many cardiologist in Los Angeles, we have finally found someone who is not only the top of her field, utilizing the most advanced science and technology out there, but who also understands the mind/body connection and the body's amazing ability to heal.
It's rare in the LA area to find a cardiologist who appreciates functional medicine and other non-traditional means to deal with cardio issues, rather than only reaching for the meds. She was thorough with me and did some informative tests to drill down a little, beyond a cholesterol and stress test. I am fan of her approach to medicine and would highly recommend Dr. Thaik.
