My spouse and i recently had our cataract surgery skillfully performed by Dr. Belyea. He was very competent, and prepared us well for it. What really impressed us the most was his caring nature. He brought tea with a piece of ice after the surgery so can drink it easily. When my pressure went down a bit the next day when bandage was removed he handled it very skillfully and even bought me coke to ease my nausea and explained why it happened and made me feel comfortable. We both trust him, and recommend him very highly for ot... read more
Dismissive, and a poor diagnostician of atypical presentations of diseases within his field. He's probably fine if you are a textbook case.
I went in for orthotics. Dr. Ravick never watched me stand or walk. Not when I came in to talk about orthotics and get my feet scanned, and not when I came to pick up my orthotics. When I asked if he would watch me walk to see if the orthotics fit properly, was told to schedule an appointment in 3 weeks if I have any issues. It just seems very standard to me that a podiatrist would watch how his patients stand and walk prior to ordering any kind of treatment for them.
Dr. Richardson was the first neurologist I saw after moving to DC. He failed to diagnose and treat a condition that I had already been diagnosed shortly before moving to DC. During my initial consultation he said my symptoms could not be explained by said condition. He refused to run testing to rule the condition in or out. During subsequent visits, and as my illness progressed, he admitted that I "might" have a "mild" case. He still did not run any diagnostic testing. During my last and final visit his disinterest in helpin... read more
As a patient of Dr. Siegel for many years, I can say that he literally saved my life. He is compassionate, intelligent and intuitive. I’ve known many doctors both personally as well as professionally due to health issues. Dr. Siegel is outstanding and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Richardson took plenty of time to listen to my symptoms, complete a very thorough neurological exam, compare the results to a prior exam and explain very clearly his conclusions and recommendations for follow-up tests. I was greatly impressed with the time and attention that he gave me.
I've only had one visit with Dr. Borum. She listens and has good bed side manner. I had to cancel an endoscopy/colonoscopy due to some other health issues. Left an urgent message for Dr. Borum over two weeks ago and still have not heard from her. Tried to go through her office to find out what was happening with a prescription. Her assistant, Nadine Yancy, was the most rudest person I have ever dealt with in a doctors office. I have never had an assistant to hang up on me. Unsure.
Richardson is incompetent. My encounter with him doubled my pain. He plainly does not know what he is doing.
I saw Dr. Ravick after another foot doctor messed-up a routine bunionectomy surgery I had done. I was very happy with the consultation and care I received from Dr. Ravick and have recommended him to friends.
