I am traveling from out of state and needed to have a prescription transferred and filled the same day. Simple transfer and one-time fill of a topical medication that is not a controlled substance. The transfer and filling should take no more than 30 minutes total. Maybe a couple hours for an extremely busy pharmacy, and I know this because I used to manage a pharmacy that fills 600 prescriptions per day with an average wait time of 12 minutes.
