Although it has been several years since I required Dr. Akbar's services, he is one of the best doctors I have ever had. Kind, compassionate, and reassuring, and extremely good at explaining complex medical information in terms that are easy for a lay person to understand. Recently, my husband required a referral to a cardiologist, and I specifically requested that he be referred to Dr. Akbar. I trust him implicitly. Excellent doctor, as well as a genuinely lovely person.
They only verify insurance the day before the appointment. I waited two months to get an appointment only to be called the day before and told that he is out of network. The person who called was Annali, she was abrupt in her manner and not helpful. She told me I would have to pay 3 co pays on the day of my appointment as they were doing three services. Dr Akbar listens and is very compassionate. Always explains things until you are comfortable. He provides thorough screening and quickly follows up with test results. Been going to him for 20 years and has helped my husband and I through several health crises.

Dr Akbar has been treating my husband and I for years. He is very understanding and listens to your medical issues. He is never in a hurry and takes time to listen to you, even if you don't think it's important, if it bothers you he wants to hear it. We would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Akbar to others.
