My new countertops are absolutely beautiful! So why am I giving a poor review? When the technician came to measure my island, the contractor told the technician the island was to have an eight-inch overhang. They spoke about it, the techician measured and it was clear it was to be an eight-inch overhang. When the countertops, the piece for the island was eight-inch short. My counter tops are absolutely beautiful!! So why am I leaving a negative review? My island was to have the same quartz countertop with an eight inch overhang. My contractor was at my home at the time and told the technician to measure for the eight inch overhang. When the piece arrived, it was not correct, the piece was eight inches short. Cutting edge has told me I can accept the piece as is or pay for a new piece with an eight inch over hang. I will not pay again for Cutting edges mistake.
My experience with Cutting Edge Countertops has been quite a disappointment. I do not recommend them especially for any large custom work on an estate home.Their installers did an abysmal and sloppy job. They left a huge mess in my kitchen and outside. They did a horrific hack job in cutting out the custom support for one of our islands. They had no template for cutting out the hole for the sink they were supposed to install. We are very disappointed with our counters. We have 4 seams, 2 in front and 2 behind our sink. Had we had the opportunity to review the template ahead of time we would not have approved this design.
