Not a very Happy Valentine's Day – Crab & artichoke dip was excellent. Husband ordered seafood brochette (fancy word for kabob). Shrimp on both kabobs were clearly uncooked. Sent it back and 10 minutes later it came back out. Upon scrutiny, discovered that some of the shrimp were still slighty raw. They were very nice about it and took care of our entire tab. Did have a goofy excuse that they tend to undercook their fish and should have asked him how he liked his. He told them it wasn't the fish that was raw - it was the she... read more

Disconnects for Large Group – Contacted Cutter's about group dinner on short notice, rep offered private dining room and (supposedly) arranged for separate checks. Cutter's shuttle from Roosevelt Hotel for attendees. Planned for great first night event, showing-off Seattle waterfront and great seafood. But prixfixe menu proposal offered 2 chicken out of 3 choices, no seafood chowder. Manager suggested $35 price point (before tax, tip, and alcohol), was insufficient. Upon arrival, told server privately we had 6 fewer people t... read more

Good service, okay food, very $$$ – After hearing good things about Cutters, went there for dinner with my S.O. and ended up disappointed with the quality of the food for the price. One appetizer, three drinks and two entrees totalled a little over $100 and we didn't order the most expensive things on the menu. The service was fantastic and the view from the window was very nice, but for what we spent, I'll choose somewhere else for seafood next time.

Great Service, "so so" food – This restaurant has nice ambiance, although a tad bit chain-restaurant-looking, and excellent service. However the food is average, to below average depending on what you get. Wouldn't be a bad deal if it was less expensive, but plan to spend $100 for dinner/drinks for two. With so many great seafood restaurants in Seattle, this place is not really worth the money.

Very Good Experience – I am an ex-Pacific Northwesterner but go to Seattle regularly to visit family. My first time to go to Cutters was this year, on recommendation of our hotel. We were very impressed! Granted it was prom night, and they were crowded, but we still had excellent service. The food was terrific. Dungeness crab can be had for less elsewhere though, but what we had was terrific. The atmosphere was very nice, and the view also. Try the Martini's but make sure they do not mix up them up, as ours was, but we enjoy... read more

Clean Cut – Visiting Seattle for the first time, my girlfriend and I were excited about checking out Pike's and eating great seafood. My friend, Bot took us to Cutters for lunch and we had an enjoyable experience. This restaurant has a spectacular view overlooking the water and is conveniently located next to Pike's Market. The salmon chowder was amazing as well as the sauce for the shrimp cocktail. The kasumoto and barron point oysters on the half shell stood out among the rest while all the dressings for them were fair. Th... read more

Proceed with Caution – This restaurant has a lot of near-misses. We chose very carefully from the menu so we weren't disappointed. My husband ordered the seafood pasta and enjoyed it, though it was a bit heavy with cream. I enjoyed my sushi bar sampler -- sugar cane scallops, garlic prawns, etc. One item's sauce, with the raw fish IIRC, was off. But beautiful views. Will return. Next time will find better parking option other than below restaurant (3 eve. hours = $11, ugh).

Good, but not good enough to return – Went there on a Sun night and it was dead. At most 4 tables btwn 6-8PM. The wild Copper River salmon was awesome. The scallops with nut crust was a loser - it looked like deep fried scallops. Came with beurre blanc, asparagus and leukwarm mashed potatoes. The view was fantastic, but the atmosphere was not. Lighting was harsh, 80's music was playing in the background, and our waiter was okay for the kind of restaurant this was supposed to be. I asked him to elaborate on a menu item and he... read more

Cut Above – I must ay the food was excellent. The wait staff I would question. They forgot about us at first and once we started ordering appetizers and drinks things started to pick up in the service side of things. I found one thing really unusual and that was when I called and my reservations everything was fine but then when we arrived with the group of five he said, oh we are trying to figure out what to do with your group. What this means I have no clue but the people making that place function sure are not very though... read more
