I purchased my set of knives in 1974 from a salesman who came to my parents house. I paid $174 for a set of 10 knives and received 5 additional pieces. I have had them sharpened 1 time. I have never found any other knives that compare to them.
I wasn't aware there was a Cutco store in Indy! I went in the other day and wasnt looking for anything however the knowledgeable sales associate Christina worked to show me how the knives work ans I walked out with 4. She was knowledgeable but not pushy and one of the kindest women Ive met. I cant wait tp go back!
While in Indy for our 10th anniversary, I stopped in just to get the Super Shears. Have had many kitchen scissors over the years and you just can’t clean them properly because they can’t be taken apart. Anyways, went in to the store and I had the undivided attention of both sales associates as I was the only one in the store. Unfortunately, after 6 months the knives I purchased are no longer sharp and it’s a struggle to cut with. My generic knives I’ve had for 10 years perform better than the knife I spent so much on. Such a shame. When I initially got the knives they cut very well, but it’s practically worthless 6 months later.
