I had to wait 4 MONTHS to see her. Rcv a verified diagnosis via MRI of the brain AFTER she assessed after my suggestion to feel the back of my head that I have a bounding pulse. She negated the radiologist diagnosis stating, "oh sometimes the radiologist just says that" She also told me I no longer have sleep apnea when my sleep study showed I do in fact have sleep apnea that requires treatment. In my experience, Optum Indiana’s scheduling process was shockingly unprofessional. I completed all intake forms, had multiple doctors send records, and prepared for weeks—only to be told two hours before my appointment that I would not be seen. The scheduler, spoke to me in a condescending way during our initial call, and the office manager later cancelled the visit citing vague “notes.” I was medically fragile and urgently needed care, and this last-minute cancellation delayed treatment by months. I saw her one time. I liked her a lot. That appt. made me believe she understood my complex case, she read and understood my diagnosis from my neurologist at Stanford in CA, she would help treat me, and she made clear she knew trying to get the medicine I've been on for years was hard to get insurance to pay for, but she'd done it for other patients and we'd make it happen.
