Due to afib (irregular heartbeat), I asked for a referral to cardiac care. Dr. Morrison was simply super -- easy to understand - and he explained the problem and some possible solutions. UM Columbia wanted to do a more drastic measure = shock the heart into what they hoped would be a normal rhythm. Perhaps Dr. Morrison will go that way in the future but for now he is taking a more conservative approach. "Let me get some tests done and we'll see" was his approach...I like that idea. He is obviously not going to jump to the fi... read more
Business response:
It was a pleasure serving you. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and being so open with us. We're glad you felt very comfortable with your care at Phelps Health with Dr. Morrison.
Dr. Potter quickly analyzed and diagnosed a tibial fracture and meniscus tear. However, the appointment was rushed and he didn’t explain the injury. I persisted and asked him to explain the diagnosis in a way I could understand it. I don’t doubt his abilities as a doctor. However, If you aren’t good at self-advocating with a doctor, I would go to someone else. His staff is very kind and courteous.
Always goes well.
I have a displaced fracture in my toe. Dr. Potter was very rushed in the appointment and was positive that it would heal on its own in 6 weeks. 5 weeks into "healing" I had increased pain so I went to an urgent care to check on the breaks. They have not even remotely healed and are actually worse than what it was 5 weeks ago. He was rude and short with me. I felt that I annoyed him by being there even though I have some pretty serious breaks.
Very thorough and patient. He really cares and is compassionate with you. He doesn't rush you in and out. Excellent doctor.
They were supposed to call in a script and call me when paperwork was finished, to pick up. A week later I called back and left another message for the nurse as neither had been done.
I was impressed with Dr Hurley’s knowledge and bedside manner. Pleased with him as a physician but his office staff are poor at best. Friendly and courteous but they do not follow through with simple requests. It took over a month to get test results and only then by scheduling an appointment to review them. Was told at the appointment that a prescription would be called in - still waiting 3 days later.
he did my knee replacement after all the therapy and pain to be told he needed to re do the surgery i have been on a walker ever since. i would never use him or advise any one to.
He's a good doc but the staff, though pleasant, is unreliable. They often don't return calls, and when they do, never the same person. A routine checkup appt. I made was not to be found when I called to add an unexpected very serious reason for the appt. I had a staff member lie to me about a lab test. I was told as I was leaving that iI needed to repeat a lab test due to a lab mix-up when it was actually an additional test. I had to wait through their lunch hour.
