You can make better cupcakes at home – The first time I went to Cupcake Jones I had the Downtown Cupcake Brown. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The second time a friend wanted to try the Lemon "Sorbet". Terrible! The cake was extremely dry and the top and bottom were very hard. The lemon curd had no flavor and the frosting tasted like whipped Crisco. You're better off making cupcakes at home!

St. Cupcakes instead, please – My husband surprised me with a half-dozen cupcakes for my birthday last week. He'd been to St. Cupcakes first, but alas, they are shut on Mondays, so he thought he'd give Cupcake Jones a shot. He was suspicious of the cheerios decorating one cupcake, and what looked like a dried apple slice on another. Neither one of us could figure out which was supposed to be what - was that banana or carrot cake? Was that lemon, or just plain yellow cake? Below Average. – I was excited when I discovered this cupcake shop in the Pearl District; however, I quickly became disappointed after my first bite. The cupcake/icing was not moist and not worth $3.75!!! If you are searching for a delicious, moist cupcake, then I would recommend the Sugar Cube cart at 9th and Alder-- you've got to go early though because they usually sell out by the end of the day.
Cupcake Jones is the BEST! – Cupcake Jones is the yummiest place on the planet. They are creative, delicious, and addictive. The service is exceptional. I took their frosting shots to Burning Man this year!
Gives a whole new meaning to the word "cupcake" – I've never had cupcakes like the ones they make at Cupcake Jones. These are cupcakes on a whole new level. Ever since we started having these for our coffee breaks, we realize that our coffee isn't good enough. One last hint: selection changes by day of the week, but if it is German chocolate cupcake day, you owe it to yourself to try some.

Most Delicious and Unique Cupcakes EVER! – I have been going here since they opened and am SOOOO in love with it! They change their menu every month so there is always something new. The cream filled Jumbos are the way to go if you want a treat for yourself but I take the "mini dozen" box to every dinner and party I go to. They will even wrap it in ribbon for you for free if you want to give it as a gift. Be aware that the minis, kind of a more traditional cupcake, don't have filling in the center.
