Got the motorhome towed in here with a blown engine. Within a week I was back on the road with a new engine. 3 days to remove and replace. Alex, nikolai, ted and Russell were great! The rv pad was a nice touch.
While traveling in a motorhome from Idaho, I noticed the engine started to overheat. Its not easy finding shops that are willing to work on motorhomes, let alone on short notice. I called several without luck until I made a call to Cummins of Gillette, Wy. Our experiences were just the opposite of Ed P’s review two months ago. We called one week ahead to make a service appointment for a coolant sensor. They were professional and we seemed very comfortable scheduling since we were in on our way through Gillette on a six month RV trip. They even called two days in advance to reconfirm. While on a three month RV trip, the Onan 4KW generator built into our Class C motorhome shutdown. Could not restart it. Called the Cummins Sales and Service Center in Gillette, WY from the road. Set up a time to stop by when we’d be in the area. Got in late on Tuesday and connected to one of their RV power pedestals to overnight. They took it into the shop Wednesday and diagnosed the problem as failed brushes. As we have an eleven year old Onan, that part was scarce.
