About this business

At Culinary Dropout, American comfort food tradition is thrown out the window for more innovation and creativity. For example as starters, the BBQ Pork Belly Nachos and Prosciutto Deviled Eggs followed by 36-Hour Pork Ribs as an entree all reveal something familiar, yet new at the same time. The drink menu is just as creative, especially the Two-Handed Shandies section; the 'After-school Special' made with raspberry tea infused tequila, ginger agave, lime and Modelo beer is phenomenal. This is my “go to” place whenever I’m in Tempe. The food is sublime. The staff is warm and friendly, there is outdoor and indoor seating with a casual fun ambiance. The trout and salmon dishes are amazing. The pretzel “bites” (they’re huge) with cheese fondue is a favorite. Also accommodating for gluten free folks.

I went here a couple weeks ago and had their custom cheese board and got insanely sick. Thought maybe the deviled eggs were old or something but it wrecked my whole weekend. So tonight, I go there with my coworkers to a happy hour event and order completely different things and low and behold, sick again. I will NEVER eat here again.

Love getting together with friends at Culinary Dropout after work for pretzels and cheese fondue and a drink! Fun atmosphere and plenty of room for large groups.
