Though called a hotel, this wonderful property is actually a collection of 26 cottages built out on a pier. Most of these temporary travelers' homes were built back in the 1930s; all of them have been renovated in recent years. You'll wish you could just move right in, since each cottage has its own bedroom, living room, patio and kitchen. We had a wonderful time.
Romantic, little cottages on a pier at Mission Beach. Everything you might want in walking distance and nearby to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. A nice patio over the sand for each cottage.
I didn’t stay at the Crystal Pier Hotel & Cottages, but I stopped by to check it out, and what a cool and unique concept! The hotel consists of quaint white cottages built directly on the pier, allowing guests to literally sleep over the ocean—something you won’t find anywhere else in San Diego.
