We have been going to Atlantic Beach for four years and love it .There are no big crowds and you arent waiting for hours to get any where, the Aquarium is great and if you go for the Pirate Festival you will have one of the best times of your life just enough people to make it fun but nothing like the . OBX .Take my advice next year try the Crystal Coast for your beach vacation.
North Carolina to hold up better beach then South Carolina
The Crystal Coast is one of my favorite places on this planet. I live here year round and it has not lost its allure. The diversity of the landscape is truly amazing. The backwater of the sounds, coupled with the many uninhabited islands lend to its serene beauty. I like to call it the wild wild east, uninhabited and wild wilderness with an ocean playground. Come get some!
I can only describe my visits to the Crystal Coast as magical. Between time spent on the water and climbing Cape Lookout Lighthouse, I fell in love with the area years ago. I have some special friends in Morehead City, and memories of Beaufort live in my head. Fort Macon was another wonderful experience. I am way past due for a visit, and hope to do so soon! For anyone who has never been, plan to make the Crystal Coast part of your next vacation! ❤️
Big culture shock from the hustle and bustle of NY I love it here I always said ( growing up in NY till I was 38 ) that if I live to see 40 it's going to be on the beach with the wind blowing in my hair and it happened I've been here 6 years , im now 43 and fabulous ... This is truly peace and serenity to me almost tranquil just watching the waves roll in , the sunset , sunrise
