Excellent choices for beers and the Bloody Mary was delicious! Burger and sandwich we ordered were both really tasty and the shrimp and grits was great too. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and we had a 20 min wait but the hostess was super pleasant and the wait staff was excellent as well. Thanks for a great meal!
Was with a group from out of town going to the Johnny Mercer Theatre for an 8 PM show. Decided on an early dinner at the CBP at the request of one in our party. When we walked in, there was already a long line and were told we would have a half hour wait, which was pretty much true. I'm not one to wait in line for a meal but we decided to wait. Great selection of beer, some from GA craft brewery's. Fairly extensive menu but not overwhelming. Efficient and friendly staff. Enjoyed talking with locals and travelers while waiting for our table. Onion rings are fantastic. I first ate here in 1976 while auditing Savannah Electric. The place is just as good now as it was 40 years ago. Really cool pictures of historic Savannah on walls. I highly recommend it.
Haven't been here since it re-opened quite a while back. Not because I didn't want to, but every time we came the wait was too long. We decided to stop in mid-afternoon. We weren't sorry. We sat at the bar. The service was great! The bartender was patient, knowledgeable and professional. He took his time with everyone at the bar and knew his beers. Love the atmosphere, burgers and onion rings. My husband always has the hamburger steak with grilled onions and creamy mashed potatoes. Also has easy parking.
