Deceptively really good for a strip mall restaurant. I think they’re family owned? Their drinks are great.
I am allergic to dairy and told the server this. We modified my meal and I ordered the shrimp tacos, triple confirming there was no dairy. Once she brought the meal I asked what the sauce was on top and to confirm with chef that it’s dairy free. Of course it was a creamy green sauce and had dairy. Good food, bad service. There were 5 of us and we gave them 4 credit cards and said "this card pays for 2 people", they charged us all incorrect amounts (they tried dividing by 3 maybe) and we had to send the cards back, and have them redo the charges. Each time this too maybe 5 minutes. There were no 'customer copies' of the credit card, so if you have to get reimbursed for work, you might have a bad time if you didn't take a picture or it was blurry. Ordered Tony’s Lunch Special. But, I should have looked more closely at the menu before ordering. Too much cheese and hard shells for me. Enchilada with cheese, Tostado with cheese, and Taco with ground beef and toppings with more cheese. Recommend trying another dish from the menu instead of a Special. I probably should have tried a Margarita. Friendly customer service and pleasant atmosphere.
Genuinely one of the best restaurants in Austin. Best margs in Austin, get the verde braised beef enchiladas. You’ll be perfectly buzzed off a single drink and have a blast here. The prices are a little high but for the quality i genuinely think it’s worth it and is heavily underrated. If this restaurant improved their marketing some it would blow up.
