Micki (Michelle) is a professional server. She’s always on the ball and keeps up with your refreshment needs. She’s awesome! The Pub is great and we will definitely make the trip back from San Antonio Antonio to visit again.
Went here in the 80’s and 90’s while at UT, still feels supremely comfortable and low key. The rest of Austin may be getting upscale and snotty, but this place still feels like the well worn, faded, but still favorite pair of jeans. Please don’t change!

My Cheers. My second home. I am getting a doctorate thanks to the guys at crown helping me keep my sanity for so many years (SO MANY). The drinking part is obvious. Not only is the beer selection good, the daily specials are amazing as well and make every day interesting. The food is amazing and they happily customize any item based on your liking (a white bun cheddar cheese veggie burger with bacon and chili level customization). Crown and Anchor has become our “go-to” place for a quick bite and a pint. The tacos are satisfying, the burgers are tasty, and C&A always has a fine selection of beer. Always a great group of people at C&A, as it’s situated just off the UT campus. A good mix of regulars from the neighborhood, students, and people like us who just appreciate a good beer and tasty grub.
So many good memories here of my youth- watching the Butthole Surfers and Scratch Acid.... burgers are still on point and it feels like Home amidst a sea of someone else’s city.
