Shaker is happy to take your money You wait to check in. You wait well past your appt. time to be shown into the exam room. Then you wait some more to see the vet. The only thing you don't wait for is to overpay for services rendered. Quality of care is good, but not so good, coupled with poor service as to warrant the high price. Look around, you can do better.
overpriced & not worth any price I was very disappointed in their service and they are extremely overpriced. My paper work from there is part of my dog's file and two different vets have commented on the over-the-top charges for what was done. I also try to stay away from vets that have so little nutritional knowledge that they recommend Science Diet. Overly motivated by profit, not pets Dr. Wolfe is a knowledgeable and kind person, and seems to genuinely care about the animals he treats.
"OFFICE MANAGER-OBEDIENCE TRAINER" NOT RECOMMENDED At the recommendation of a friend, I signed up for dog training classes through Shaker Vet. Long story short, their office manager, Kathy Rogers, owns/runs a dog training business and obtains clients through her affiliation with Shaker Vet. Shaker Veterinary Hospital is Oustanding I have taking my Cats there for years and they are the Greatest around. They have also provided some of the best care I have found and they are very concerned for the animals. They always call the next few days to ask how the pet is doing. I have had other Vets and none compare to them as far as quality care and concern for the pets. In addition they maintain hours to 11:00pm during the week. LIARS I recently had to go to shaker vet simply because my vet was not open and shaker was my mothers vet i knew before walking in the door they are expensive but i assumed that meant they would be a really great place, i was very wrong. One star is to much All I can say is that the place looked really nice from the front but if you go in the back it is so gross! My dog went to doggie day care what a joke ! My dog must of stayed in a cage all day I found it odd that for 2 days in a row when i picked up my dog she was wet and i was told she had an accident she is a puppy and cant always hold it but thats why i am paying you so she doesnt have to hold it so on the third day I put a pedometer around her collar she is pretty fluffy so you wouldnt be able to see ... read more
Rude, over priced and incompetent. For those of you who clearly did not understand what I was getting at, this was not about getting enough money together so that we could afford the treatment. It was about the fact that they "DID NOT" begin treating her unitl after they recieved there payment and the fact that when we wanted an answer as to why it took 2 HOURS for someone to pretend that they were taking her in the back to treat her. BEWARE I recently took my dog to shaker vet to be fixed. They were the only vet close enough that take friends of animals. Well a few days after surgery my dog started acting tired, and sneezing. We didn't think anything of it until she started coughing all the time. I stayed up all night with her while she continued to cough. We took her in the following day and the doctor had no idea what was wrong with her!! That night she was even worse so we got her back there the next day....After being there for 2 hours they came back... read more
