I received a faulty statement of mechanic's lien for work I did not contract for or sign off on; it was work requested by the home builder to do concrete and asphalt warranty repairs. Instead of going after the builder, they went after me and my neighbors via a faulty statement of mechanics' lien. If you can't trust them to go to bat for a homeowner rather than use them as collateral, then you can't trust them with your home.
I never hired this company and have no dealings with them, but they have placed a mechanic’s lien on 180 houses in our neighborhood. Our builder hired them to do asphalt warranty repairs, and now there is a dispute. They are using the mechanic’s lien in bad faith, dragging all homeowners into the conflict even though we are not responsible.
