If you are looking for a gym with community, always something happening, and above and beyond coaches, then CFL is it! I love all the class options , between typical CrossFit classes to specialty classes like Olympic Lifting and Hyrox, as well as personal training. I also cannot say enough about the friends that this community has given me. We can all sign up for a 5k together, just go hangout downtown or anything in between, we even have a book club!! Best group class gym in Athens! They have free childcare with a unlimited membership, which is what brought me. The childcare is great. There's no screens for parents who would rather their kids be screen free. The childcare workers actually play and interact with the kids. The classes and coaching are amazing. They spend a lot of time working on form in the beginning for those that might be intimated by crossfit or worried about getting hurt. The community of folks that workout here are great. 14 years of CrossFit and membership at several gyms in various locations. This gym offers great coaching, good class times, and childcare. I highly recommend, it also is convenient if you’re looking to drop in while visiting Athens as well.
Dropped in today and had a great experience. The coaches were very welcoming, the class was well-run, members were all friendly, and the gym space was huge and well-equipped. I'd definitely recommend CF Liberate for drop-ins and/or if you're looking for a full-time CF gym in the area.
