Drove 1,000 Miles from NY to Akron for the Crest Bakery "Bump" cake. Worth the trip!
Always will remember my parents bought decorated Birthday cakes for my sister and I, and they were the very best. Chocolate cake with a white icing that no seems able to duplicate since. Slightly hard to the touch but sweet and creamy. What ever happened to the good old days when pastries were scrumptious!
The quality seems to have really gone down hill. My last few times going, there have been issues; my turtles were underdone and a double layer cake I ordered was actually a single layer cut in 1/2 and tasted stale. the doughnuts are still very good though.
I used to live on barwin and I would walk to this place and get a donut. I’m 32 and still love this place.

Thought I would get tbe best selection if I went early. But not much was out yet. Still got what we needed and even got chocolate on the Boston cream! Thank You Crest bakery! Next time I will call ahead and put in my order.
I love love love this place! They have muffins in peanut butter and in cherry. They are a staple and history for this community- The equivelent in bakeries to the long standing Italian eatery in Akron.
