If it was an Amazon purchase it would have been returned. The workmanship is horrible, plus all the way through the process they lie to you. What they do to people should be illegal, initially you love your new house, and you have to review the company at closing, then you move in and see the cheap cabinets (off the shelf cabinets at Home Depot are better than this crap). Avoid Crescent Homes at all cost, you’ll be spending a lot to make your home nice. Oh and don’t keep them coming back to “repair” things, for everything... read more

This organization uses the cheapest items in their homes that they sell as “luxury”. Avoid this builder at all costs. Not one wall is square, they employee illegal people that come into the country, don’t speak English let alone know how to frame, tile, lay flooring or paint. The painters will spill paint all over your concrete and you’ll be told how to take it off yourself, of which doesn’t work. If I’d bought this home on Amazon, I’d have returned it in a week after taking residency. It’s a waste of your money unless ... read more

Is it even possible to give a "zero" rating because that's what I would have given. My wife and I have been house hunting in the Charleston area to purchase a home now, that we can use once we retire in 3-4 years. Part of my requirement was to be able to lease the property as a furnished Corp. lease, which is more than 30 days (not short-term rental) We were assured by the sales agents at both the Hampton Woods and Windor Hill developments they would allow it. We were ready to execute a contract to purchase when I asked to r... read more

In The Settlement, Simpsonville, SC, Buyer Beware! Crescent does not want the contracted owner to enter the house under construction so they can cover up the mistakes. The buyer becomes the enemy. They want naive and inexperienced buyers. Phone calls once a week from them is a way of making you feel good but they do not give details of the work. They charged me $600 for a little fiber glass sink that I could purchase in a local home building store for $100.

DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS.....this is a horrible company . I entered into a new home build contract with a builder (Crescent Homes) 6 months ago and 10 days before closing, they canceled the contract and still have not returned my deposit. The builder switched lenders and started their own lending company so they could inflate the interest rates to get more money. When I told their “lender” I was going to use my own lending company because of the inflated interest rate, they terminated the contract. Also... read more

Overall the house is fine however, nail pops will be the death of me. We recently had our one year warranty for cosmetics done provided by crescent homes. It took months of cancellations to finally get the work done. Last month we thought all the repairs where finished but unfortunately they did not actually repair the problems ( for the second time), they just covered them up... Again. Now all the nail pops that were "fixed" are crumbling and I will never buy a crescent home again. I know that nail pops are normal in a new ... read more

We have been so impressed with crescent homes. They definitely go over and beyond. There are other builders in our community and people are envious of the customer service we get and the quality of home 109 the coves

Worst builder of all time. Our home was "finished" 6 months behind schedule due to incompetence and laziness, and bouncing between a new GC like every month. Additionally, we have been moved in for 6 months and still have a MAJOR LONG list of outstanding items. Today, for example, I was supposed to be home all day for painters, mason workers, etc to come and finish up the remaining items. It was confirmed by Moses yesterday. Well, today, as I plan my entire day to be home waiting upon these workers, given NO timeframe, they... read more

Waited almost 8 months from the time of signing the contract for the house to be started, for Cresent to jack the price up almost 30k, a week after finally having our pre-construction meeting and gave us a week to except the increased price or walk away with our deposit and was told they will be building the house either which way. Then ignored phone calls from myself my wife and my realtor in attempts to find some middle ground. Wasted 8+months of our time and lives to now have to start over with a different company. Very s... read more
