I felt the need to post this review, as I read the a recent one by someone and wonder why the reviewer seems so off about him and his bedside manner. I was recommended to use Dr Craven by a friend who has had tons of procedures throughout Austin area with different docs.(she said only go to him). We are both thrilled at our results. I'm baffled by those that have had negative experiences. Every visit I've had at Westlake Dermatology has only made me think more of the staff and Dr. Craven. Each visit, I was warmly greeted and was delighted at how friendly and sweet each member of the staff was. Displeased with work and follow-up – I had eye surgery over a year ago. The results are debatable and borderline needing another surgery. This has been confirmed by two other specialist's opinions. My biggest complaint is the treatment/attitude I received from Dr. Craven. He finally offered to do another surgery, only after receiving a letter from another doctor. Would recommend Dr. Craven! – Dr. Craven performed my rhinoplasty and I absolutely love my new nose! He's very friendly and really made me feel comfortable through the whole process. I am just 5 weeks post op and think he did a great job! In fact my experience with everyone from Westlake Dermatology was great. I always found the front desk girls to be friendly and they always got me in quickly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Craven for anyone thinking of having anything done!
No Results with Smart Lipo – I used Dr. Nikolaidis for a smart lipo procedure about 8 months ago. I got absolutely no results from it and I have two indentations on my inner thighs that look like hollow spots. I called the office, and they told me most results take about 6 months to be noticeable. This surgery was a scam and I paid 6000.00. Rude Service from the front desk girls and no results from the surgery itself. I really want my money back or a real result but do not want to deal with such rude people.
Don't ever go here – Not only did they take forever to get me into my appointment, they herded me in like the rest of the cattle. A medical assistant came in and numbed my face prior to my Botox treatment. She was really nice but seemed distracted. 10 minutes later another person stepped into the room and tried to do my Botox without my knowledge. She stated that the Doc was busy! How rude! I was in a rush so I let her do it, too bad I wasn't numb in some areas.
BEST Cosmetic dermatologist in Austin! Six-star service! – After going on a number of "free consults" to various cosmetic and plastic surgery offices in Austin, I came across Westlake Dermatology upon recommendation from one of my friends. Excellent Physicians & PA's, but Mediocre Office Staff – I have had cosmetic and dermatology services performed at Westlake Dermatology's Bee Cave Road location. I couldn't agree more with the first reviewer that the office staff is second rate. However, I have found this to be the case only for the cosmetic surgery office, not the dermatology office. If you can get past the girls, the doctors apparently are pretty good – Went to WD after a life catastrophe, having decided to spend some $ on myself as part of my recovery. I walked in & was "evaluated" by a young girl, who rolled her eyes when I told her I thought it would take me 5 years to accomplish something close to what I had heard about laser.
