Welcome to our beautiful restaurant and lounge built in 2008. With a dream and many blessings, Crave Sushi opened its doors in 2009, and was received with much enthusiasm orchestrating a fresh vision of Japanese fusion cuisine that captures the style and charm that Houstonians crave. From the ambience to the menu, Crave Sushi strives for taste and innovation. The Tiger Lily, named for a young girl with a fire in her heart, boasts a full-bodied flavor that will inspire you while the Cheetah Roll, bearing our childhood favorit... read more

Wow! a zagat rated sushi spot! – Wow! I was looking for a new sushi spot and ran into Crave Sushi's rating on ZAGAT survey on google. Yes! I said ZAGAT. This place definitely lived up to their rating. The service is attentive and friendly. The ambience is upscale. If you closed your eyes and listened, you would hear the beautiful sounds of a busy restaurant or a happening place. And to boot, the chef is classicly trained at C.I.A. The ice cream and most of Crave's sauces are homemade. The menu is extensive. I would recommend... read more
Great happy hour! – The staff is very friendly.
I've had better – I went for the first time at the beginning of this year and I have only gone back if I was attending birthday parties or dragged there by friends. The restaurant is small and never busy but is decorated nicely. The waiters are very inexperienced as if Crave were the first place they have waited at. If you like going to bars in midtown the location is good, but most people know the new "hot spot" is Washington with tons of new restaurants and bars opening every month. Now let's talk food... I haven't tried m... read more
Good Lunch Experience – So finally I get the chance to check out this place. I keep on hearing from all my friends at work "yeah Crave was FUN last night!" or "that place really does make you CRAVE sushi". So here are my two experiences...Last Thursday, I get greeted by the hostess (cute hispanic girl)..get seated with my friends. Server was prompt and knowledgeable. I ordered some sashimi (salmon, uni & ama ebi) and a spider roll. The basics for me to test out a restaurant...All I have to say is WOW! most fresh fish in town... read more
Great sushi. Great vibe. – i went there friday and the place is amazing, i had albacore and the hot cheeto roll, yes. you have read correctly, hot cheeto roll, that place has the most original menu around, i wish i could have been hungrier so i could have tried more rolls. The restaurant is very modern and i felt really comortable, maybe some people think it is small, but they're proly just really fat and would feel cramped up if they got on a hummer... by themselves. and the originality of their menu makes this place unique... read more
Great Sushi Experience – When I drove up to Crave Sushi the exterior wasn't much to look at , but once i walked in the restaurant is beautiful. Yes, you can say small..but I say intimate. Atleast, my husband and I thought so. The fish was fresh. Rolls were a little pricey, but hey! your in midtown..get over it. The service was good. My favorite item is the poke tuna appetizer..it came out smoking with dry ice..what a showstopper of a dish. I would give this place a 5 star, but only for the exterior I have to give it a 4. agree- OVERRATED! – Absolutely a huge let down. I came here for a friend's birthday party two weeks ago really excited to try a new place. The menu was just plain weird (not in a exciting exotic/original way), and it was way over priced. I should have guessed better when I noticed it was nearly empty. Don't be fooled by the fake good reviews Crave obviously posted all over the internet. FRAUD!
OVERRATED – What a let down from all the hype! The place is incredibly small and food is overpriced especially for the poor quality. Service is slow as well. This sushi joint is all trend and flash with no substance, plus it will cost you. Better venues elsewhere in Houston.
Great Sushi & New York Style dining – This place totally reminds me of a sushi lounge in New York. The decor is modern, lots of pretty people, and its just hustle bustle! The sushi is great and you can get it late night on the weekends. Chef Robert from NY is very nice and loves to shake hands. This is a great addition to midtown district of Houston.
Crave Sushi has a 4.2 star rating with 138 reviews.
Crave Sushi is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
