Crater Auto and Towing did an AWESOME job in repairing my son's car. The receptionist Amy was super friendly and helpful. She did a great job in getting me quotes and making me an appointment, calling and keeping me informed on their progress. Travis is an Awesome and very knowledgeable mechanic. Instead of leaving at 2:00 on Saturday, their closing time, he chose to work until 5:00 to get my son's car fixed so my son could get to work on Monday. I would recommend any other shop in Middlesboro or surrounding areas over this shop. I got a price quote over the phone for replacing a A/C compressor and Condenser fan in my truck. I already had both the parts so they quoted me just around 250 in labor. When I got there to drop it off they told me it would be around $600. The man behind the counter must have thought I was a sucker and when I told him I couldn’t pay that he advised me to “not just take it anywhere, make sure the people know what they’re doing”. always available for simple repairs when needed. dropped what they were doing to plug a tire after being refused elsewhere. good folks to deal with.

Went here tuesday the 8th.to get a used tire because mine blew out while on vacation and did not want to drive home without a spare.so I called crater and lady who answered I gave the size tire I needed and she said they have one and it is 25 dollars so I took my tire there they put it on and then told me 40 dollars.35 for tire and 5 for valve stem so that was the first issue.second I did not notice until I went to put it on that it had 2 plugs in it.well it was holding air so I was not happy but figured it will get me home.... read more
