Crater Animal Clinic is a full service veterinary hospital in the Medford area. We treat both large and small animals. Our hospital was founded in 1970 and was originally a large animal only practice. In 1976, Dr. Bob Addington started the dog and cat portion of the hospital and it has been growing in the Rogue Valley ever since. RecommendedDr. Julie is great! We had to take one of our chickens in. Dr. Julie took time to explain the situation and agreed with the sad decision we made. We will miss BeBe. 😢 And their covid protocol made a lot of sense for everybody.

Today was my second visit to Crater. I recently moved to the area and my almost 14 yr old Puggle has a cancer tumor on his thigh. It grew exponentially in the 2 months since my first visit. Dr. Smith saw us today and had to give me news of the tumor’s growth that nobody ever wants to hear. His bedside manner was absolutely first class, and I’m so thankful for his insight and willingness to research and give me the answers to my questions for my pups end of life care. We have always had excellent and amazingly compassionate care for all of our animals. Dr. Madigan especially has been truly amazing with us through some very difficult times. I can't reccomend Crater Animal Clinic enough. They are simply amazing.
We had to put our pug to sleep two weeks ago. Crater Animal Clinic couldn’t have been nicer and more compassionate to us. A week later we found a card in our mailbox signed by the staff, and included in the card was Toby’s paw prints. That was so sweet. Thank you so much.
Our puppy Hank loves this office! He had his first vet visit today and it went very well. All the employees were very nice and professional. We are happy we found our vet home!
The person that I spoke on the phone with about setting up and appointment for my puppy was EXTREMELY rude. When I told him that I needed to get my dog in between the 20th and 27th, he proceeded to get irritated and yell at me for not providing a specific date and time that I would like. Based on my experience with the person over the phone and how unbelievably rude they were, I would absolutely not bring my dog to this vet.
I just want to say ‘thank you” to the staff and Dr Lawrence for their kindness. I had to put my fur baby Moose down last weekend and they were so sweet and caring. Today I received a card in the mail with my pups paw prints. How wonderful they are and compassionate. Thank you again 💕
