This 54-ft tall mural on the side of The Crane building is one of my favorites in Philly. Dedicated in 2023, the mural was painted by 3 artists plus 100 community volunteers, under the auspices of Mural Arts. The mural is a tribute to the history and resilience of Chinatown. It features symbols of Chinese heritage from cranes, lanterns and scrolls to the creation of the Friendship Gate. The mural's hopeful title is The Past Supporting the Future.
I lived at Crane ChinaTown while attending medical school. They subtract more than they should have from the deposit!!! I was told by front desk that if I leave anything they charge 125$ or something like that, I left dissembled table top with 4 legs - they charged me 625$. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!! ALSO They give points to the residents when they leave reviews.
