I fell in my home and ended up with a malleolous avulsion fracture. I have other medical conditions that made this concerning to me, including diabetes, which means I heal more slowly especially in my extremities. Dr. Mauro ended up seeing me although he's a hip specialist I guess because he was the only ortho available in the quick timeframe I needed. I've seen him twice now and will not go back. Was referred to see Dr Mauro from other office for hip/groin issue. Was then referred to see another surgeon to rule out other issues then to see Dr Mauro week following. No communication with Dr he wanted me to see, was extremely late seeing me, no solution, no injection like he had said for appt

I had a great experience with my Hip surgery. He personally called me the day after his surgery (Not an assistant). Always spent a lot of time with me before and after surgery discussing my options, and also for various follow-up appointments. Never seemed rushed. I liked his staff too.

I'm so grateful for Dr Mauro and his surgical ability. He performed a tendon lenghthening forthwith great success. Very pleased

First impression is their staff. Three staff members standing around talking. Waited over 20 minutes after this and when I do go back the nurse is very short and to the point. The doctor comes in and says lets go over the MRI. But he never tells me anything. Asked how I got the injury and I said a car accident. He asked me if I was in litigation, end of conversation. Got a shot and exercises to do at home See you in 6-8 wks. Guess it wasn't a sports injury? Mine wasn't important.
