I was very pleased with the shoulder surgery Dr Roodbeen provided me with a few years ago so, when my opposite shoulder began to have problems, I had no hesitation returning to him this week. I was impressed at my appointment not only in the plan he set for my care but that he had an assistant typing notes during the entire appointment which I received the following day by email overviewing our discussion. Dr Roodbeen repaired my torn meniscus. I had no pain after the surgery and am able to function normally again. I was told Dr Roodbeen was good but I feel he is VERY GOOD. He has my recommendation if you need a good orthopedic sports medicine doctor.
Make sure that you get in writing. Dr. Roodbeen will make promises about process and procedure with intentions of doing something different. Make sure that you understand the informed consent form BEFORE you sign it. He will do whatever that form authorizes regardless of previous discussions.
