I was a patient of Doctor Buckles for over 20 years! I thought we had formed a great relationship however he decided to cut me off of diazepam, (Valium), after he had prescribed it to me for over 20 years! Benzodiazepams are the MOST deadly of all withdrawal! This should be illegal!!! I experienced horrible withdrawal for about 7 days, with constant seizures and terrible anxiety. Dr Buckles is an awful person. Supremely disrespectful. He laughed at me, questioned the information I was giving him, and called me names. The absolute worst I’ve been treated by a doctor. He has no compassion or patience. Stay away.
If I could give zero stars I would. This is worst psychiatrist I have ever met or talked too ( Community Hospital has better ) he’s rude and condescending and just straight out has the absolute bedside manner (but I guess that’s what happens when you’re old) didn’t care to know about me or my symptoms. Save your time and go to a different psychiatrist!!!
1st visit he started out by telling me to pull my face mask up. My nose mouth and chin were completely covered. I tried to explain my history with anxiety and all of bodily symptoms I was having, shaking, insomnia, difficulty in swallowing liquids. He suggested with a laugh that I should put a thickener in the water. I almost walked out. Did not even address the anxiety but accused me of Lying. He was very confrontational toward me. Never had a doctor treat me this badly
