Always great to work with honest and caring
I’ve gone to them many times over the years because they are friendly and efficient, but today they solved a nearly unsolvable problem for me! They were able to decode and copy a key that 3 other locksmiths had been unable to copy for me!
After trying to get keys copied at all the major stores (HD, Lowe’s & ACE) only to have them all fail to work, I went to Cox. They were recommended by many neighbors. The staff at Cox were so nice, helpful and every copy worked perfectly. The copies turn even smoother than the key I brought in!! I highly recommend Cox for any lock and key needs. Wish I had started with them. I would have saved a lot of time and frustration. Very reasonably priced too. 5+ Stars!!

Jim Cox solved what could have been a very expensive repair problem for me at a reasonable price. Most of all I'm amazed and thankful at the effort he put into tracking down a very hard to find part to repair my door entrance latch. After spending hours on the Internet and days talking to and visiting locksmiths and retail sales places like Elliot's Hardware in the Allen/Plano area, I was convinced I'd have to spend a lot of money to buy a new set and have my door refinished. The people at Cox Lock & Key are awesome! I stopped by while driving home from work today because it looked like their neon light signs were still on & I had a that key two other hardware stores were unable to successfully replicate for me over the weekend. The owner of the shop who happened to be outside talking to the pizza delivery guy saw me and said "Do you need a key made? Well come on in."
