Being a pre-teen or teenager in this facility was one of the most grueling things I have ever experienced. The staff was unkind, incredibly cruel- and had a "reward system" they used which made many of the people in the ward feel worse about themselves. While I was in this facility, one of the biggest rules enforced was that we were not allowed to socialize or even speak with the other residents 90% of the time, forcing us damn near into isolation. my wife was in treatment for a few days recently, and loved it here. they have several groups during the day to get you through healing. my only complaint would be a staff member telling me that i could bring her her own bras and underwear, and then not letting her use them. i specifically told the staff member that the ones provided were uncomfortable to her, and i was reassured that it was no problem for her to have her personal ones, and that they just wanted her to be comfortable. other than that, she did enjoy going her... read more
