A reluctant thumbs up for these guys. Ambiance is quite lovely. I've had mixed experiences with the food and service. Pizzas have been most consistently good. Samosas are giant. I didn't care for the "bunny chow" which was just kind of strange.

Unethical, unprofessional, and mediocre to boot – Baba Ji, the owner, does not pay his employees. He owes several current and ex-employees over ten thousand dollars in unpaid wages. If you visit the restaurant repeatedly, you will notice the staff is constantly changing. Go here if you like your Indian food with a side of slave labor.

I had not been satisfied by the Indian restaurants near Glendale and Hollywood, but now that I've found Cowboys and Turbans, I have my regular place. I love the various vegetarian dishes, particularly the chana masala. And I like the minimalist decor with wall art and colored lamps.

Citysearch Editorial Review – Located in a nondescript Silver Lake strip mall, this offshoot of the Indian-Mexican street food outpost adjacent to the El Rey Theatre is larger and less takeout-centric than the original.
