First time my wife and I went here it wasn’t busy, so we told the lady at the front that we were seating ourselves, and we went and sat down. It took about 15 minutes for a server to come over to help us, and when she did she literally yelled at and scolded us at full yelling volume for seating ourselves (yelled at us like we were kids - we’re 35). My wife and I have been coming in and dining. We believe a place can have an “off” night or two. We tried to frequent the restaurant because we boat and it’s on the water. The service ends at that point. Tonight, we waited at the red counter by the hammerhead shark painted red, for 20 minutes. We weren’t offered to seat at all twice we were told, the seating coordinator would be right there. Nothing. This was probably by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Several red flags as we arrived, but we decided to give it a shot anyways. Walked up to the door and the first thing we notice is a sign that says “Cash Only machines are down”. This is our start to our visits to Gatlinburg. A stop at Cowboys. Now Firelake Grill. Fun atmosphere. Great food. Jalapeno soup is amazing. I highly recommend. We have a home in Gatlinburg and go to many restaurants. This is one of our favorites by far.
We just visited for the 1st time. On the lake, outdoor patio. Positive: food was decent once i had to go ask for some of the stuff to finish making my sandwich. Negative: 1. Said no sitting outside because not many customers at the moment 2. Currently not servicing beer (waiting for new ABC license) 3. Thank you for welcoming our large party and giving us such great service. Tamika was helpful and enthusiastic as our server. We were seated on the lower patio and the atmosphere was perfect. Ribeye steaks were amazing!!!
I have to say how disappointing it was to visit your place. I have been hearing all good things about cowboys on the water.... So finally I decided to take 6 of us to visit your place. First we were greated by a new waitress that had only been there for 3 days, no problem so far.
