I agree with this guy John. But, maintenance doesnt seem to be the problem. I have lived in other apts. before. This place is old has LOTS of problems. I heard the woman in the office say to one of the maint. guys why they hadnt finished something. He told her we ordered the parts and paint that we turned into you and we have kept putting it on the list and still hadnt gotten it. Now we have a new guy that just come in and he thinks he is a god to women and hittin on the women in the office. I think the problem is your offic... read more

Man, this place is AWFUL! They never have anyone in the office to help when you need them. The laundromats are always broken. Our wall sockets have stopped working for no reason, the air never works for more than a week at a time, its mold everywhere, part of our ceiling downstairs has fallen and they still have yet to fix it, none of the neighbors speak english and its not uncommon to open your door and find people sitting on your porch in front of your door. I lived in Hudson Woods for almost 2 years. I do not I repeat do not reccomend it, one bit. It seemed perfect at first, but quickly went down hill. The windows do not close , there is always a small crack in the bottom causing unneeded drifts coming in. My car got broken into and I had things stolen as well, I contacted the office and kelly (lazy and rude) of course did nothing about it or cared. the balcony is hardly sturdy at all, and the columns will break. Overall I give this place a negative review.On the good side there is a pool that is available most of the time. They have a small gym. The location of the appartments is convienient.On the bad side, the office is a very negative place to have to enter and the non - managemnt workers seem to be replaced very often. While it is not a huge amount, there is some crime issues. There has been several car thefts and attempted thefts for 5 months and not ONCE has the office contacted the residents!!! SOUTHWOOD REALTY OWNS A BIG PORTION OF APARTMENTS IN GASTON COUNTY THEY SHOULD AT LEAST HIRE SECURITY AROUND THE CLOCK TO KEEP THEIR RESIDENTS SAFE!!!
I previously lived at wind run apartments. actually I moved out June 08. These are the worst apartments I have seen in ones life. The staff is totally unprofessional, they have the highest turn over rate there is for apartment complexes. Please if you know whats best for you "do not" rent from them.
