Not trustworthy or professional, staff stole from my 87 year old grandmother. I hired Coutu for a move from ************ to *********,** and while they did a great job of moving, they did steal from my 87 year old grandmother. I hired the movers to gather items from a few different locations in ************, one of them being my grandmothers home where I had been storing some furniture. These allegations are false. I spoke to the customer on a Sunday, the day after the move, apologized up and down, and told her I would look into this right away. She was told to file a police report if you are accusing theft occurred, which is standard procedure . To this day, a police report has not been filed.
Scheduled a move for mid June, 40-mile move within RI. Workers did a good job in the pouring rain. However, I had damage to a bureau glass door as a box in truck wasnt secured and fell onto bureau during truck loading. **** apologized multiple times and crew lead talked to his supervisor, explained what happened to him, took 100% responsibility, and stated Coutu would take care of the repair. ***** measured the doors and told me glass would be cut and installed when ready. Two of my items arrived damaged, which I discovered after the movers hurriedly left. I called *** the owner twice and left him messages, which he has chosen not to return. I would strongly discourage others from using Coutu Movers.
