Lobby under construction. No warning during booking. Bought room with breakfast package that couldn't be honored due to construction. Staff didnt know what to do. One front desk employee didnt even know construction was scheduled when they showed up for work. The list is very long. Twenty-five years Marriott member for my wife and over 30 years Sheraton member for me. Worst stay we have ever had on 4 continents!
Newly refurbished rooms are nice, but I don't understand why there is no maid service for a 6 night stay. Am I supposed to take out my own trash? I like to have in-room coffee, but don't like getting it myself from the front desk.
The actual facility fits what you should expect from the Courtyard/Marriott brand. The room was furnished comfortably and had all of the usual amenities. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There were a few things that needed to be cleaned (mold on the shower head) or reconsidered (had a fridge but not a microwave). The most negative piece was the downtown area itself. Great location attached by skyway to civic center. My young children, my elderly mom & I decided to extend our stay another night, then my husband decided to add another king bed room to take me out for Valentine’s day tonight. Andrew at the front desk goes out of his way to make your stay miserable, he refused to put both our rooms on the same floor as my minor children, even though a king bed is available on same floor.
