Back at my favorite hotel. The Courtyard By Marriott in Gateway Boulevard, Columbia, South Carolina. As always, my room was clean, the staff exceptional and that not to say without reason. Manager Barbara an 😇, Amy at the front no words could describe your kindness and last but not least Miss Rebecca at the front desk. No matter where you go in this hotel you feel like you’re home, there’s always a warm smile to greet you. So anyone looking for a nice comfy hotel look no further than this Courtyard by Marriott.
Location, property and common areas are great. When it came to the room I was very disappointed. I specifically asked for a non ground floor room, but was told that is the only one they had. Meanwhile others in my party who checked in after me had high floor rooms. The front desk person was not very friendly and or helpful. When I got to my room it smelled like mildew and the air was off. There was a plugged in humidifier that was not running because it was full. I had to dump the humidifier out and turn on. Clean room. Good location. They have a bar and food but it is way over priced. But you're paying for the convenience of it. Plenty of restaurants in the area.
